Selling Mountain Property

Selling mountain property, yourself, can present additional challenges to an already often complicated process. There are several reasons for this.

- The mountains are a resort area for many. Your home or cabin may be a second home, and you may not live in the area year-round.

- Many properties are tucked away in secluded areas - down a long, winding gravel road or up on the side of a mountain. These may be difficult to find for prospective buyers. Some mountain roads don't even show up on GPS systems.

- Properties that may interest prospective buyers are often widely scattered over several counties. Drive-by buyers are less likely than in a suburban neighborhood or subdivision, and, some mountain communities are gated.

Many questions on selling real estate are addressed in Help for Sellers. Additional timely real estate information can be found in My Monthly Newsletter. and in our Daily Real Estate Update.
